Jericho and Hurricane arrested!
« on: January 28, 2010, 01:06:46 pm »

Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms were arrested this morning in Kenton County, KY around 5 a.m. this morning by the Erlanger (KY) Police Department. Both men were charged with Alcohol Intoxication In A Public Place. They were both bonded out in a little more than an hour. Kenton County is close to Cincinnati, OH, where WWE taped Smackdown last night.

An Elite subscriber with knowledge of the jurisdiction sent word that both men will probably be given a 50 dollar fine.

Well,I doubt anything will happen to Jericho but this could speed up Helms to TNA to join Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore.

Let's be honest though, Helms wouldn't be a major loss would he?

TMZ.com has released some disturbing new details regarding the Wednesday arrest of WWE Superstars Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms.

Kentucky police officers say witnesses told them Gregory Helms struck three people, including Jericho, a man named Gary Kelley and a female passenger named Ashley Storer, at a gas station.

Helms then allegedly ran from the scene right after the violent incident but returned after where he and Chris Jericho were arrested for public alcohol intoxication. Cops say Helms was not arrested for the assault because the alleged victims have not pressed charges, which in Kentucky if police do not witness the attack.

The female who Gregory Helms allegedly struck does not want to press charges at this time while the male said he’s considering it.

If true, then surely he is definately a goner....

Apparently in response to the negative publicity Gregory Helms’ arrest yesterday morning for public intoxication is receiving, the WWE website pulled his “Superstar of the Day” photo this afternoon, replacing The Hurricane with Cody Rhodes

I read on PWTorch that TMZ were reporting that Hardy "fled the scene" but is not thought to have been part of any wrongdoing.

Be interesting to see how they are treated in the Rumble.

Hurricane could get the 2 seconds treatment.

Let him take Santino's record.

According to a report on F4WOnline.com, Phillip Brooks and Jason Reso, better known to WWE fans as CM Punk and Christian, respectively, were the two who posted the bond to bail out Gregory "Hurricane" Helms and Chris Jericho from their drunken incident last night.

I'm surprised Punk didn't leave them in there to think about what they'd done....  :D

Very good Hammy.

The following are from JR's blog and wee posted on ProWrestling.com

In light of Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms' recent arrest in Kentucky, Jim Ross posted his latest blog with his thoughts:

TMZ making a semi big deal about a situation that Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms found themselves in this week. Both these guys are great people and are credits to the biz and I suggest that this well could be much to do about not much. No one should rush to judgment about this issue especially since neither individual has addressed there side of this overblown story. This matter definitely deserves a "Lighten Up Francis." Wrestling needs more hard working, students of the game who are still fans of the biz like Jericho and Helms.

Shows how times have changed, back in the 80s this was standard practice, the guys in many smaller companies were encouraged to get into fights in bars (as long as they won) to enhance their characters tough guy reputation (back in the days they were trying to convince people the biz was real).

He's not gonna even get that. Hurricane is out before the Rumble began:
The Hurricane and Santino Marella have been pulled from WWE's official list of Royal Rumble participants. In the case of Hurricane, it makes sense considering his recent arrest.

- WWE Superstar Gregory Helms, who was arrested along with Chris Jericho last Wednesday for public intoxication, was in possession of one muscle-relaxer, according to the police report that was obtained by TMZ.

The report stated, “a search of Helm‘s purse revealed one white round pill.” Cops say the pill found in his possession was a Soma, which is the generic version of the muscle relaxer Carisoprodol and a “schedule four narcotic.”

The report also states that Helms told cops he had a prescription for the pill but was unable to show proof of it at the time of his arrest. Cops did not pursue charges against Helms for the possession of the narcotic.

TMZ contacted WWE headquarters, but as of press time, they have not called back for comment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Last night after TMZ posted the report on Hurricane Helms being found with a soma last week before being arrested, Chris Jericho wrote the following on Twitter: “This just in! TMZ charged with beating a dead horse and grasping at straws…”

- There was a report over the weekend saying that Hurricane Helms was being kept home from the WWE TV tapings this week. Helms noted on his Twitter last night that he was driving to Memphis, Tennessee, the sight of tonight’s SmackDown and ECW tapings
