Wrestling Magazines
« on: February 02, 2010, 10:36:18 am »
Just wondered which wrestling magazines, if any, that people read and what they feel the best ones to read are.  I currently only read Power Slam magazine, which, quite handily, is published right here where I live, which is Lancaster.  I’ve also just picked up my first copy of FSM (Fighting Spirit Magazine).

I bought my first copy of FSM recently too. The one with the cover story about the Royal Rumble.

I also used to get one called Total Wrestling which stopped in about 2004 I think.

I've been getting Powerslam for probably 7...8 years or more, superb magazine, I also get FSM when I can.

Seems like I'm getting the right ones then.  Cool.  Cheers guys.

Was well surprised when I noticed that Power Slam was published here in Lancaster.  I think the offices or whatever are about 10 minutes from where I live.  Like you said, an excellent read.

Yeah, Powerslam are blunt and to the point and never hold back, FSM are a bit younger and I don't feel they have the same depth as Powerslam always good to get different perspectives though.

I never actually throw any copies out either, I have several very large stacks, I did think about ebaying them.

Yeah, I'm another one who can't bear to throw my magazines out.  I have had the occasional cull and some mags have been recycled (on the wife's orders) but I make sure I only throw the ones that aren't about wrestling and my subscriptions.

Back when i was younger and i was going through a rough patch in my life, I had a great routine that would always make me feel better

Id buy a Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine, Orange Sherbet and a mello yello

There are several others I'd read but the names slip me for whatever reason......

Fighting Spirit Magazine, The Wrestling Press which is free and very rarely a PWI.
