Ric Flair to Wrestle Again?
« on: February 11, 2010, 07:03:47 pm »
WRESTLING legend Ric Flair has revealed he will be back in the ring for TNA "sooner than later".

The Nature Boy's last fight on US soil was his 'retirement match' against Shawn Michaels at WWE WrestleMania 24 in 2008, although he did return for bouts with Hulk Hogan in Australia at the end of last year.

When asked if he would wrestle again, Flair answered with a firm "yep".

He then told his questioner from The Virginian-Pilot: "Probably sooner than later, much to my dismay. Things are happening quickly."

Ric also talked about why he joined TNA, his current role as world champion AJ Styles' manager and how a proposed feud with Hulk Hogan has been put on hold.

The 16-time world champion admitted: "I missed the business and TNA created a very nice opportunity for me.

"I wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to do. But I'm a big fan of Kurt Angle and working with Hulk Hogan in Australia really showed me how much I missed things."

Ric added: "The feud thing with Hogan will play out later.

"Right now the thing is that they've made all these changes to be competitive and I'm just a part of that."

Flair still loves to wrestle.Dude just wrestled on Hogan's Aussie tour. Anyway, people can say it taints his WWE retirement but honestly, how many times has a wrestler retired and then come back? Not everyone gets Flair's sendoff, yeah but I don't mind him coming back. I have seen Flair wrestle in person since like 1995 or so and years before that on TV. He seems like he will always be around.

He works great in his current role, it'd be a shame to see him overexpose himself in the ring.

The world does NOT need another Flair-Hogan feud. The first one in 94 was too little, too late. In 2010 its nothing but pure comedy but without the laughs.
I have wined and dined with kings and queens, and I've slept in alleys and dined on pork and beans.

HULK HOGAN has announced he WILL step back into the wrestling ring for TNA.

Although he was brought into the company as a non-wrestling talent, the Hulkster has decided to lace up his boots at least one more time as TNA go head-to-head with rivals WWE.

At the most recent Impact tapings — yet to be broadcast in the US or UK — Hogan left long-term rival Flair in a bloody heap.

He then told fans in the arena that he will be joining Abyss to battle the heel duo of Flair and world heavyweight champion AJ Styles.

The tag match will headline the first live Impact show in its new Monday night home, going up against the WWE's flagship show Raw on March 8.

Hogan and Flair have fought many times before — in WWE, WCW and most recently as part of the Hulkamania Tour of Australia.

The Nature Boy, who was meant to have retired after WrestleMania 24, recently revealed he was returning to the ring for TNA.
