I've said it before, but I don't hate Raw as much as a lot of people seem to. I mean, it's not great, but I can sit through it no problem. The guest host stuff is pretty pointless when it's a non-wrestling person (Austin next week should be good) and the PG stuff holds it back, but on the whole I don't mind it too much. I guess it's all down to personal taste.

I don't watch TNA because really, Raw and SD each week is enough wrestling for me. I don't watch all of WWE's shows, so starting to watch TNA seems unlikely.

Hell, I forgot TNA was even on Monday this week.

how does that make RVD weak? it doesn't.
It accomplishes two things

I dont think it makes RVD look weak. I just think its rushed booking. A guy debuts he should get his impact and then develop a story.

It smacks of We have RVD debuting tonight..... We have Sting returning..... What do we do? If after RVD debuts a couple of weeks down the line Sting attacks him saying "I'm sick of these new guys coming on to my turf with big repuatations" etc.

Thats what i think of it. However i will say as a WWE fan i'm jealous that RVD is with TNA.

Add him to the list of AJ, Morgan, ANgle, Joe, MCMG & Jeff. Its a nice roster they are building. But i still maintain the booking isn't great. But hopefully it gets better as they get a stable roster.

Yankee, how can u talk **** about TNA when u admittedly didn't even watch it?

u can't feel the excitement, passion and energy through reading it.

I agree with Izzy..  people are really stubborn and just are so loyal to WWE, they refuse to see whats in front of their eyes.

I am a person who didn't miss a Raw for over 15 years... and honest to God, I cannot sit through it anymore. that has nothing to do with TNA.. its been this way for about 6 months or longer

TNA i have no problems watching from beginning to end.

How about I watch it later and then say it was ****?

Well then at least you would have watched it.

Rvd makes a huge entrance, its exciting, he beats Sting and gets Sting over as a heel and sets up a huge RVD vs Sting match later on.

thought it was perfect. RVD comes in and looks strong as **** winning his debut in 8 seconds. Why give him just another match back and forth etc when u can have him come in and make a huge impact thus making people want more?

Jericho should STFU. he is the guy who got knocked out by a god damned 60 year old actor............

thats worse than getting beat down by one of the best to ever lace em up.

K Fed **** pinned John Cena........

so yeah STFU WWE

K Fed **** pinned John Cena........

I can't remember exactly, but wasn't Cena owning K-Fed before getting beaten down by multiple heels when that happened?? It wasn't like Fed came out and pummeled him to get the win.

I was tempted to vote "WWE" just to wind D up  :D Chill dude, you take Jericho's comments too seriously, I'm curious, how many times did RVD get hit with a bat dude, 200....or 400?  :P

I'm also baffled by the comment Yankee1012 that RVD isn't as good in TNA, yet you say you didn't watch it, am I missing something?

Early ratings news....

Partial source: F4Wonline.com

- Last night’s episode of TNA iMPACT actually scored an 0.98 cable rating, rounded up to a 1.0. The show drew 1.4 million viewers and was down 12.0 percent in ratings and 6.1 percent in TV viewership compared to this past Thursday’s iMPACT.

RAW was down 7.4 percent in ratings and 4.2 percent in viewership this week compared to last week. RAW drew 5.1 million viewers this week.

Spike TV is saying that they expect the iMPACT rating to go up when numbers from DVR viewing are up. They believe a “significant portion” of the audience will watch iMPACT on DVR.

I dont have to watch to know that RVD is not as good in TNA.

Christian much better in WWE than he was in TNA

Kurt Angle much better in WWE than he was in TNA

Kevin Nash much better in WWE than he was in TNA

Rhino is the exception, he is better in TNA

R-Truth is about the same in both companies despite R-Truth's Whats up gimmick.

If Rhino can be an exception, so could RVD, with new people running things just to automatically say he isn't as good there seems to be jumping the gun, now to say you think he won't be, that's one thing, but to say it before you've even seen him used by them.  And heck, look what they've done for Pope and Morgan, if booked properly the potential matches and feuds for RVD there is huge, admittedly part of me thinks they may well screw it up, but give them a chance.

Think the ratings for TNA are a bit disappointing - but not worrying

a 1.2 would have been better - or evidence Raw's rating had dropped, as it is Raw didn't change that much more than usual

all the figures show there are atleast 1m wrestling fans out there that don't regularily watch either - territory to exploit.

All told TNA kept pretty much all of it's audience in a new slot and against competition - hope for the future

I think TNA should've had a better plan........ Either go to Monday or don't. I think had they stayed on Mon after Jan4th, they would've been in a great position. The fact they went away for 2 months hurt things IMO.

I saw him in TNA. I watched that bit yesterday. It was cool I will admit that, but I just don't think he will be as good in TNA as he was in WWE.

I agree 100%. They need to be on Mondays every week. The ratings will disapoint them for sure.

I still havent watched either RAW or IMPACT coz of the great 4-0 Man Utd win tonight. But i will certainly give them both a chance.

My fear for TNA is the same fear i have always had for them. When they do something good its good sometimes even amazing but when its bad.... its very very bad.

To me Hogan and Flair have no place in the ring regulary. yeah for one off feuds, but Hogan should not be the main focus of TNA IMO. If he was running things and had mini-feuds but it wasn't the focus, i could maybe take that but to be in two matches in one night (which is what i understand happened is odd booking IMO).

What i will say is with RVD, AJ, Angle, Jeff Hardy, Joe, Morgan they can really build something now. They need to identify who their "Top 4" guys are and base the next year of feuds around them to give the company some structure.... becasue thats what WWE does alot better IMO.

Anyway i'm off to watch to either RAW or IMPACT. ;D

What i liked:

Stings Heel persona
RVD (He's TNA made i think)
Eric Young
X-Div Title match (Really good)
Jeff Hardy
Beer Money
Abyss

What i didn't:

Kurt Angle's promo.... Boring! Thats the sort of **** WWE pulls all the time. USA USA USA.... Boring!
AJ dressing like Flair.
Hogan being a main focus of the show
Scott Hall.... Worst signing ever
Brooke Hogan. When did Impact become Brooke knows best!
Cutting off Jeff Hardy
How Shannon Moore is now No1 contender for the X-Div title.... How can you possibly justify that?
Clusterfucks.

TNA needs to stop focusing on Hogan and Flair in terms of in-Ring action as their main focus. If they wanna run a Sting vs Hogan thing then fine. But it needs to play 2nd or 3rd fiddle to AJ vs No 1 Contender and Kurt Angle vs Whoever.

They need to get their better workers in the ring every week. This week fo my money we saw 1 TNA quality match. For a two hour show thats pretty poor IMO.

Get RVD as X-Division champion and let him run with it. Get Jeff Hardy, Angle and Joe as your three top faces and Get Sting, AJ and Mr Anderson as your heels. Go from there and build 4 or 5 storys.

but i have to say aside from that there is alot of promise there if they get the booking right which if i'm honest i'm on the fence about.

One thing that annoyed me to no end was that RVD gets hit like 50-100 times with a bat then Hogan comes out gets hit about 5 times and its Hogan thats in need of a medic with all the attention on him and not RVD.

Say what you want about Raw but its developing the Mania matches very nicely.

Can't help but feel TNA will likely get trounced next week with Raw being hosted by Steve Austin, Bret Hart appearing and not to mention Mania rewind matches like Orton/HHH, Cena/Show and Michaels/Jericho. The latter of which personally far exceeds any match TNA could possibly put together with anyone on their roster.
