The Hart Dynasty
« on: April 03, 2010, 11:00:44 am »

All this angle did was get Vince in the ring again - the Hart Dynasty havent benefitted, no new blood benefitted - what was the point in wrestling terms?

I think they have benefitted. They are now Face's and they are fighting the Tag Champions and they were on WM. Surely thats better than before?

Exactly, not that many here watch Superstars but they had a cracking match on it this week and are already very over thanks to getting the "rub" monday night, letting them use the Sharpshooter as a finisher makes sense to, the move alone gets more pops than most wrestlers and since he debuted they've gone on about Tyson Kidd being a "Submission Specialist", finally for the first time in his WWE Career he made someone tap out so the moniker doesn't sound quite so dumb anymore....

One match on Raw wasnt enough - Bret needs to be with them week in and week out untill they have the belts (an apt time to declare he's taught them all he knows)

As soon as Bret's gone people's interest in them will go too - because one match just ain't enough

It depends how they are booked from now.

Are they getting a push because creative see's a future in them and wants to give them and run with the belts or are they just being built up until the next PPV where they job to the Champions and then return to their previous spot on the card.

I came very close to drafting both of them..but i never like putting all my eggs in one basket cause they are tied together... so if they don't wrestle u are double ****.. although the otherside u are double rewarded.

so i am happy hedging my bet with just one.

I can't see them as champions due to the dual-brand priviledge. You'd have to think there are a few ahead of them in that race. But to see them involved in a sustained feud with the tag champions would be good. Maybe a couple of matches on PPV. Thats a step in the right direction

Take away their parents and they are among the most boring wrestlers I've ever seen

It really is a choice of releasing them now or giving them a desperate push and praying there is something there

Personally I don't think there is - but they deserve the chance

I think they are good in-ring workers. I think you get yourself confused with good heel wrestling which is designed to be "Boring" at time. There is no better example of this than Randy Orton. As a heel he had more chinlocks than moves. already since he has turned you see a much more exciting brand of Orton.

I think its the same with the Hart Dynasty, I dont think you have really seen what they can do yet and by reports, most people seem to think they are good in-ring workers.

I love the idea that being boring is in some way an achievement

A boring heel is a bad heel - people dont watch TV to be bored, just shows how bizarre WWE is when they intend for segments to bore the audience!

Orton is getting the biggest pops i've heard in years - and all he's changed is the speed at which he moves, bravo WWE - you've managed to keep down an immensly popular wrestler for years

Its not just WWE its a known way of getting the crowd to hate you. Ric Flair has said in the past thats its the only way to be truely hated. Whether thats true or not i'm not sure but it makes sense.

If the heels are providing you with the most exciting moments of a PPV then i think they'll end up getting cheered and if you really want that person to be a heel then i don't think its a bad idea.

Ric Flair knows less about wrestling than blind Martians

I've based my life on ensuring everything I do is diametrically opposite to whatever Ric Flair is doing - he's the biggest fool probably in this solar system

Just use 4 moves! Be boring! Never retire! The more divorces the better!

According to The Wrestling Observer, Bret Hart has been very hands-on with The Hart Dynasty and is said to be mentoring the group. He apparently watches all of their matches and sends them reports based their performance when they are on the road and he is away from the group. So it appears that his role with the group is much more than that of an on-air personality.

The guys got buried even more on RAW last night, mainly by themselves.  They sounded so awful on commentary it was embarrasing, made me cringe, and worse Michael Cole made them look stupid.  I wonder what the heck Vince was saying into their headsets from the Gorilla Position, Hart Dynasty sound boring, trip over your words, Cole make fun of them at every opportunity, don't give them a chance to make witty comments.  Guys like them should NEVER be allowed to talk and cut promos let alone commentate on an entire match, just strange booking, it's like creative wanted them to look bad.

I just do not know what say after comment like that one Hammy, I guess you are happy that Drew and Cody have the titles now! Hart Dynasty are a decent good tag team, and in case you have notice here lately there are no outstanding tag teams in the WWE any more. You could build a decent division with the Hart Dynasty and then bring up an awesome tag team to feud with them, so the problem with Hart Dynasty is not that they are boring the problem is there is no awesome tag team in the WWE to help bring out they true talent.

Look in order for young talent to become better you have to have superstar they can feed off of and learn from, that is why Ric Flair had such a long career he knew how to bring out the best in young talent. The problem is there is no superstar tag teams in the WWE that can teach Hart Dynasty what it means to be a great team. I mean look at who they have defend the title against, no one really so of course they are going to look bad and sound bad when cutting promo's and they are going to seem boring in the ring. Wrestling is like dancing you are only as good as your partner and to be honest with you there is no one in the tag team division that help guide these young wrestler.
My heart burns with a desire as it screams out for me to show you the error of your ways, and set you on the path of Righteousness!

Oh I agree, I think you miss my point.  They are good in-ring stars, and in all their feuds, they should be busy wrestling, and as you said, being put with people who bring the best out of them.  Like Flair did with Steamboat and Guerrero and Angle did with Benoit.  My point was, you don't expose their weaknesses and make them look stupid, they aren't good talkers so they should never have been put in that position unless someone wanted them to look bad, it was madness!
