Personally, I think Edge and Christian both work better as heels.  As a longtime critic of Orton, I think the face push has worked for 2 reasons:  he developed his character a bit more since the first face run (2004?) and as a face he can let the heel do some more of the work in the ring and that lessens the effect of the dreaded chinlock.

The spear thing is kind of dumb; maybe they should let him go back to the impaler dvd as finisher.

You mean the Impaler DDT right?  He still uses it as a secondary/signature move, I don't think people would buy it suddenly becoming his finisher again since he's been using it as a regular move for so long.  I remember a time when he started finishing people with his submission move, the Edgecution (spelling?) I think it was called...

I have always had a hard time buying the spear by edge being capable of knocking out some of the biggest guys in WWE. I think a Face edge could use the spear as a set up move but to me him sitting in a corner asking the guy to get up and wave up to spear him just doesn't have the same eefect as HBK toe tapping or RKO mat pounding those set ups really sell their finishing moves to me, the lil spear that Edge does I can accept it knocking out a guy like Howard Finkel, but some of the big WWE boys, like a Big Show, hell if he speared into someone that big I think edge most likelly should be bouncing backwards.

One WWE main eventer has been telling people close to him that he?s looking to leave the company when his current deal expires. Speculation is that wrestler is World Heavyweight Champion Edge, who has a deal until 2012.

It?s said that three or four other WWE wrestlers are looking to leave when their contracts are up. In the past two years or so, names including The Hardys, MVP, Kaval, Jillian Hall, Shad Gaspard and others have all left WWE on their own.

Makes sense for him to leave as he has had some major injures in his career.  I believe he broke his neck and blew out either a knee or his achillies ligament.  Better to go out on top and while you can still walk and move okay.
