He has to come back as the manager of the Hart Dynasty - they are pretty bland without him, he could really get them over

Between getting them over, being a cool on air talent and plugging a pretty cool new DVD, this could work well on many fronts.

'Tis a shame Teddy Hart isn't in the company, he's a great talent but unfortunately too much hassle.

I don't think Bret wants to travel full time even if he were just in the on-air GM role and only had to do TV/PPV's.Anyway, Bret knows that Vince owns all of his footage or almost all of it and he's gonna have to play ball with McMahon if he wants another Bret Hart dvd. With WWE being TV-PG,Bret is a lot more likely to come in. Anyway,if he's on the 4th,I'm watching TNA live and taping RAW.

 :partytime:

According to a WWE source who is close to the situation, Bret Hart has signed a short-term talent contract with WWE. Dave Meltzer is reporting that contract runs from January 1st to April 10th 2010. This means Hart could very well end up being the RAW guest host on January 4th.

When asked about the contract, Bret Hart declined to comment since he doesn't want to "lie about anything." According to Meltzer, Hart wanted to keep the signing a surprise but WWE all but confirmed he was coming back with the segment on RAW this week.

Apparently, Hart had been in talks with WWE for several months now. Meltzer is also reporting that Hart will possibly wrestle one more match and has also agreed to do a storyline based on the Montreal Screwjob. For years, Hart had been strongly against doing any type of storyline in WWE based on Montreal.

The match, I think will NOT be against HBK. I'd bet on a street fight VS. Vince where Bret beats the crap out of Vince. Again, I think Bret might stick around since WWE is TV PG now.

From a safety aspect HBK could carry him best.

I'm ecstatic about this but I think discussions about him having a match are far off. All these years after the head injury & stroke, he is still partly paralyzed down the left side of his body. He can barely put a sharpshooter onto people at Indy shows and has a great problem with his balance just standing up.

Also the fact he is legally unallowed from wrestling as a result of the terms of his compensation win from his head injury.

I'd love to see him in the ring again more than anyone else but its never going to happen.

Personally I'd love if he takes the Hart Dynasty under his wing and challenges Vince's team - DX to face Dynasty at WM26. Can't see that happening with with DX but would be excellent despite the confusion with who'd be the faces and who'd be the heel aka Bret+DX.

HBK vs Bret will never happen. Mainly because HBK or Bret would probaly refuse to lose.

I know Bret had a stroke.... but no one carries Bret Hart in a ring. He won't wrestle as i would assume his insurance he recieved would come into question.

My bet would be on a Special Ref or non-wrestling feud with Vince i.e. they both head up teams.

I really hope they use this well and hopefully use it to help the Hart Dynasty. Personally i'd like to see them Tag Champs in the future as they don't seem to have much direction on SD.... apart from facing Cryme Tyme every week.

If that doesn't happen i'm not sure what they'll do with him. I could see maybe some sort of match with D-X vs Hart Dynasty but then where does vince fit in? and the crowd's alliance would be divided which they would want to avoid i think.

So if the Hart Dynasty angle is a no go then.... it looks like Vince vs Bret in some form.

Whatever.... i'll be watching!

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart appeared on yesterday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio on F4Wonline.com. Here are some of the highlights:

* Bret said he doesn’t have faith in Eric Bischoff or Hulk Hogan when it comes to recreating the Monday Night Wars with TNA. He respects TNA as a company and hope it brings competition for the sport but doesn’t think they’re going to do anything major. Bret said Hogan has played himself out to the American audience and doesn’t have anything to offer anymore.

* He feels he still has lots of ideas and different things he can contribute to wrestling. His ideal job in the business right now would be something similar to what John Laurinaitis does for WWE. He would want to be involved in planning matches and storylines.

* TNA has always been good to him as far as extending offers go.

* Bret says he is a big fan of Randy Orton’s work these days but not impressed with the storylines he’s been involved in. He also said he’s impressed with Kofi Kingston and is a mark for Melina, calling her creative and very imaginative when it comes to doing her moves. He also feels everything Sheamus is doing right now is impressive and also is a big fan of Jack Swagger. Bret feels Swagger has good potential to be a top wrestler and character.

* He would loved to have wrestled Kurt Angle and David Hart Smith. He also would have loved to work as a heel against John Cena because he feels they could have told a good story together. He hinted that Cena’s abilities in the ring are limited but he is still good.

* As far as all the news about his WWE return, Bret said he can’t talk about the rumors but did say that he was talking with WWE and “we will see what happens.”

The following are highlights from the latest online blog of WWE Hall Of Fame announcer Jim Ross:

There is tons of speculation regarding WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart signing an agreement to return to WWE in the near future. Let me make this clear, I have not personally talked to Bret in months but have exchanged a few emails since I took ill in October but that was about his and my health issues and we never discussed a potential return to WWE for him. Also, I have not talked to one person in WWE about this issue either as I rarely talk to any one within WWE about any thing that doesn't involve my contractual issues.

I do know have a few, somewhat educated opinions on this matter. Firstly, having Bret Hart return to a WWE locker room and be able to mentor young talents is awesome. Young wrestlers need more positive role models who have made it within the business and Bret would no doubt be a great mentor and coach. I have often wondered why Bret has not been asked or arrangements made for Bret to do be a "reoccurring professor" in WWE's developmental program, FCW.

Secondly, Bret would not come back to WWE without a game plan and a strategy. Just as his wrestling matches had a beginning, a middle and an end so would the "Hitman's" return to WWE especially considering the controversy of Montreal 1997 which is an issue that seemingly won't die to wrestling historians and aficionados much like the President Kennedy tragedy in Dallas in 1963 to conspiracy theorists.

Bret is too smart that, IF, he's coming back to WWE that he has a sound strategy in mind with a predetermined destination. It doesn't take the class Valedictorian to make an educated guess that destination might logically be Wrestlemania 26.

Thirdly, if it is physically possible for Bret Hart to have a physical confrontation with his "arch nemesis" Mr. McMahon that attraction could be significant for WM26. When I last saw Bret at the Cauliflower Ally Club function a couple of years ago in Vegas he looked great. Pulling off an entertaining, say, "Street Fight" would not require the participants to have a traditional, wrestling bout of which Bret was the master back in the day.

I find it hard to believe that if Bret "Hitman" Hart's name was mentioned so prominently on Monday Night Raw that there is more than simply smoke but also some fire as it relates to this matter and I hope that I'm right as the return of the "Hitman" would be great for the fans and would add a new, fresh and much needed creative element to Monday Night Raw. not to mention enhancing Monday Night Raw's build to WM26. USA Network should be ecstatic is this matter comes to fruition.

Some have emailed me about what the potential of Bret returning would mean to the Hart Dynasty and I don't know that answer. My guess is that the Dynasty would naturally get more exposure but I see this matter as being much more about Bret and Mr. McMahon that any thing else with the goal to create some exciting, new TV moments from its inception through WM26.

Again, this is purely personal  speculation and only one guy's opinion as I have, as previously mentioned, not spoken to any one in the Hitman or WWE camps about this matter.

Bottom line is that if Bret Hart returns to WWE that, in my opinion, it will be on Monday Night Raw, it will commence on Monday January 4 and that it will culminate in something big at WM26.

There is no way Bret will return as a heel. He might help the Harts win the belts but he won't do anything heelish to make them win IMO.

I'm pretty sure they would only have him do something like that in Canada

trust me, when bret comes back, he instantly becomes the face even over DX, specially after Montreal.

It is ten years since though, admittedly they never let you forget, but with all the kids "The DX Army" I don't think they'd be total heels, a good amount of the audiences only know Bret in name alone.

Edit: It's actually 12 smurfin' years!
