Im going to be the first to break the ice on this ****

I am happy as a fan to see Bret back but dude is a big time sellout for doing this. they screwed u, ruined your life, partly responsible for your brother being killed... but yet, after saying u never would,  u go right back.........

He should've went to TNA and helped the fight against WWE.

It does seem odd after everything he's said, the positive is though he isn't bitter anymore, it can often be a case of damned if you do damned if you don't.  I've seen numerious people slate him over the years for not being able to get over it and move on, not that he has he's a sellout?

well, he had a little more than a normal run of the mill "falling Out' or misunderstanding

U can say, hypothetically, Vince McMahon ruined his life

If Vince never screwed him or asked him out of his contract, he never would've got kicked by Goldberg, he would've been in the arena when Owen died and he said he wouldn't have let Owen do that ****.

so yeah.. I mean as a fan, I am glad to see it, but seems Bret is doing it more for money.

Does he need the money?

Maybe he's got over it and wants to come back and leave on his own terms, have a happy ending so to speak.

And blaming Vince for Owen's death?  It was hardly the first time someone made a ring entrance like that, it was an accident, people to often consider Vince the Devil.

And the concussion from Goldberg, heck even before the screwjob he was already going to WCW so I don't see your point there and even if he had stayed, a worse accident could have happened in WWE, you just don't know...

haha. He can't win. When he didn't come back for the HOF he was called pathetic and people were saying "Get Over It" or "He should do it for his fans". Then he does that and he gets called a sell-out. Its plain stupid.

He aint going back for Vince, HBK or the screwjob.... he's going back for himself and his fans who wanted to see him back where he did his best work.

You can say alot of things but at the end of the day its all conjecture. If this and if that.

To say that Vince ruined Bret's life can only be true if Bret let it and coming back shows that he is over that disgusting act and i think that speaks volumes to his charecter unlike some, who just maybe have grown up too.

For Money? Wrong.... He doesn't need the money, He's never been about the money. That was one of the things that made the screwjob even worse. He's said that he can get by with his insurance and odd wrestling apperances. And even if it was for Money.... Who Cares? Its not selling out its putting a full stop at the end of one of the best careers ever in wrestling and you wouldn't be able to do that in TNA!

As far as Owen goes, whether Bret would of stopped him or not i don't think it was Vince's fault and i think deep down Bret knows that..... you wouldn't work for someone who you were sure killed your brother.

Bret coming back is the first thing that has really got me excited about wrestling in a long time and whether its a sucsess or not.... i'll be watching.

I think part of this is overblown; as soon as he appeared at the WWE HOF in 2006 and they showed that picture of him shaking hands with Vince, I thought that at some point he would be back in WWE.  The relationship between Vince and Bret was close which was why Bret was so bitter.  I remember reading someone comparing the entire Montreal saga as a wrestling version of King Lear.  I think they had a deep discussion at Stu Hart's funeral where they hashed out most of the differences.  I don't think Vince has "ruined" his life.  I think he has been the unfortunate victim of bad luck.  I think Bret cares a lot about his legacy and the only way he could achieve a proper closing and ending to his career is in WWE and not TNA.  Most of his adversaries/bitter rivals are in WWE---Michaels, HHH, Undertaker and even Jericho.  If he went to TNA, he would just be another former WWE wrestler like Nash, Angle, Foley etc.

As previously mentioned, the two were close, I'm pretty sure I've read on several occasions Bret say Vince was like a father figure.  They sorted things out a bit after Bret's stroke I think it was, Vince rang him up out of the blue to see how he was.

yeah.. its possible i could be wrong. I guess the best way to bury something is to come back and do it on your own terms so u can leave it behind.

I really liked the Bret Return.... Was done really well especially the HBK/Bret show opener and the crowd was loving it considering it wasn't Canada or even a really big City.

It was played out brilliantly and Bret look calm and confident considering the time he has been out. I remember Bret being so good in the ring but i forgot how good he was on the mic too.

The Bret - HBK thing was one of those "This is really happening" moments of wrestling. I loved the line HBK used saying "When i think Bret i don't think Montreal, i think Iron Man Match". Their was an authenticity to both of their word which was more than i expected to be honest.

The Vince part was more predictable, but again well played out... Setting up the possibility of more Bret, which is a good thing for WWE.

People might comment that Bret wasn't really in shape but with his bad back he can't really work out so that was to be expected.

Wish this had been done without a script - this was such a monumental moment to 'use' it as an angle was weak. Especially with Shawn, I'd have liked them to just shake hands or say whatever they wanted, close a chapter and then find new ones.

The end result is of a defining moment in wrestling cheapened - the body language was clear, no one forgives anyone, whole thing looked like 2 children told to make up as parents watched

the 'real' first meeting of Bret and Shawn would have been real drama - maybe Vince thought someone might die so it was better to stage it...

I don't know i think both wanted it over with. No one is saying that they are best friends. But i think both respect each other and what they have done for the business.

They Hug was a little over the top for me.... but apprantly that was not insisted upon so bothe Bret and Shawn must have agreed.
