Good choice or not?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/2705642/Ricky-Hatton-to-be-guest-host-on-WWE-Raw.html

RICKY HATTON will be the special guest host of Raw when the WWE hits the Sheffield Arena next month.

Officials from the wrestling promotion told SunSport the British boxing legend will head up the show when Raw rolls into South Yorkshire on November 9.

The Hitman will become the second boxer to appear on the programme after his old foe Floyd Mayweather Jr performed an identical role in August.

It is understood WWE owner Vince McMahon wanted a Brit with a big enough profile in the United States to host the company's flagship offering.

Manchester-born Hatton fits the bill perfectly, with his fights against Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao generating huge pay-per-view numbers in the States in recent years.

^Beat me to posting that. ;D

I expect that some heel will mention the fact that Mayweather beat him, which will shortly be followed up by Hatton knocking the guy out. :boxing:

Indeed, they were horrendous - and such nerds!
apparently they had a 6 page script - WTF is WWE doing? Just let them do their own thing

...the guests hosts are barley there now - reduced to a 5 min intro and skit with DX...

Isn't he that guy, that does the thing, you know with that other guy?

In short, I don't know who the **** he is

surely we are running out of nobodies? Surely by a process of elimination we have to get an an actual celebrity eventually?

As Triple H talks for them anyway - lets get a blow up doll, say it's 'the quarter back from the Dallas Excuses' and just have it propped in the corner

...we'd get the same limp effect...

Dennis Miller is the guy that Professor Fink implied wasn't funny, remember??

I don't think guest hosts are too bad if they're not all over the show. Just have them come out, make a few matches, maybe a backstage segment and leave it at that. Though that kinda defeats the purpose of having a different host every week, which means they'll try various wacky things with them and.... I don't know where this is going.

You can usually tell if the hosts have any knowledge of wrestling. I mean, that does help when you're hosting a wrestling show. Snoop Dogg, who I wasn't holding out much hope for, was actully alright.

Only 1 in a million would find that funny

Ah yes! I remember!

Having seen every Simpson's episode many, many times I know far more about American...things than i probably know about British things

....how the hell do i know every US president going back 150 years but have no idea who Margaret Thatcher kicked out?!

Stacy Keibler recently spoke to Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun and was asked whether she’d be the special guest host of WWE Raw when the show comes to her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland on November 30th.

The former WWE Diva said she reached out to WWE about hosting, but never heard back. “No one has contacted me. I actually had my management contact them, and nobody ever got back to us [laughs]. So I guess they’re not interested,” she said.

I think the November 30 one with "Mini Me" will suck.  Mark Cuban is probably the most interesting of the three as he's got an over the top personality that suits pro wrestling well.  He's not that old either and he's not plugging a product which is great.  Dennis Miller?  I don't think that one will work too well because most of the jokes will be over everyone's head.

Plus, Orton RKOed him once upon a time. I wonder if the WWE will reference it seeing as it happened in the dark, distant past of 2003?....

Pretty sure I've heard his name being banded about in regards to "MMA Promoting" I also think he has some Baseball link, I have no memory of him in '03 though.

He is/was(?) the owner of the Dallas.... somethings. A baseball team from Dallas is all I remember. I would Google it but I'm tired just now. :P At Survivor Series '03, he had a run-in of some sort with Eric Bischoff and Orton, who was on Bischoff's Survivor Series team, ran down and RKOed him.
