Upcoming guests

Jan. 11, 2010: Mike Tyson
Jan. 18, 2010: Jon Heder & Don Johnson
Jan. 25, 2010: James Roday & Dule Hill
Feb. 1, 2010: William Shatner

http://www.pwinsider.com/article/44122/wwe-announces-another-guest-host.html?p=1

ohh Shatner, that should be intresting - but who are the others, I mean c'mon!

I'll provide some info here.  Obviously everyone knows Mike Tyson.  I just hope they have him interact with Shawn Michaels.  Remember when Tyson punched Michaels after the Wrestlemania match in 1998?

On the January 18th one--those two actors (Don Johnson from Miami Vice and Jon Heder from Naploeon Dynamite) are going to be pushing/promoting new films/projects.  I don't have high hopes for this show.

James Roday and Dule Hill star on USA Network hit show "Psych".  It's a cop show with bits of comedy and humor.  The good news is that both these guys watch pro wrestling and are big fans.  So there's a chance that this could be good.

Shatner has already been on Raw and he's never boring.  So that's another watchable one here.

3 out of 4 hosts that have the potential to be interesting.  That's all I really ask for.  Thumbs up from me.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- The idea of ending the guest host storyline on RAW has been discussed with the idea being to use a big name as the full-time General Manager of the brand.

I think everyone is tiring of the guest host gimmick - some faster than others

it's a smokescreen for the product - in a wrestling show why should the celebrity be the draw? If u booked the wrestlers right they would be celebrities anyway!

I'm bored of it. But i also have caution over a full time GM. If you get a good one then great but if you get a bad one then you are stuck with them.

What i'd propose if a 3 month GM role. Where they can use someone but they will only get a 3 month role and then change it. That way you can get better GM's in but if they are good they won't lose their appeal and if they are bad you can give them less on-air time knowing that a better GM is coming.

Always liked Regal in the GM role - but tbh Bret has to be the man

involved in wrestling but not actually wrestling, respected the world over and great on the mic - he'd be perfect, if it doesn't happen it will only be because Bret didn't want it

Less than two weeks before WrestleMania XXVI, WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin hosts Raw on March 15. The WWE Universe should certainly mark their calendars for the legendary Rattlesnake's return, as it is sure to turn WWE’s flagship show upside down. Though it’s uncertain what will happen when Stone Cold takes his place at the head of Raw for one night only, there's no doubt that he'll be looked at as one of Raw’s most controversial special guest hosts.

I also happen to know that Dule Hill was in The West Wing too.

WWE announced the following on their website today:

Feb. 15, 2010: Jerry Springer
What better way to celebrate the day after Valentine’s Day than with Raw special guest host Jerry Springer? The host of the syndicated The Jerry Springer Show takes the reins as the WWE Superstars roll into Des Moines, Iowa.

So what are the odds they do a "Jerry Springer Show" segment featuring the likes of Satino, Jillian and Hornswoggle  ;)
