WWE Game XIV: Its Time To "Split": Discussion Thread

Wow. Ok its getting a bit long winded now.

I quite like the split idea and it sounds a fun way of sorting it out. My only problem is that you could end up with someone scoring a 1000 points and finishing 6th in one league and someone winning the other league with 1000 points.

Therefore does that really give you the best 10? Isn't that the point of this.... whole discussion. Trying to find a way to decide who deserves the top league.

Like i said i like the stable war idea but you could end up with 3 or 4 former champions in the "B" league from one bad league.

Its a fun way to do it, but doesn't really sort the problem. and just prolongs it all.

My suggestion from a while back has to be in there

If u win Game 13, u are immune during game 14

that way winning a world title means even more than just bragging rights as it keeps u safe next game.


I personally like 9-9

whoever wins titles in game B come up to game 1 and the three lowest finishers go down to game 2.

So even if you combined the NON-US, it'd work out 10-8.

And if you work on an "Equal" talent split.  You have 2 out of the 10 as former champions whereas 4 of the NON-US 8 are former champions.  It could work if 2 more NON-US board members joined in or if one of the 10 Americans isn't American and I got it wrong.  

We could do it the old fashioned way, set in stone the different "ideas/choices" set up a poll, and go with the one with the most votes.

Edit: Or you could argue, because you are trying to find a way to have the "Better" players in the top league, that because the group of 8 has far more champions its fair to pick 5 from that grouping...

Edit #2: So you could have 9-9 NON-US and US.  You'd still need the top 5 from one league and 4 from the other though..

That would eliminate someone from walking away with the title and making it competive to the end? Any oneelse have thoughts about a playoff.

No its complicated and too American.

I never understood Playoffs.... The best over the course of a season is the best team. Not the team who scrapped into 8th and got lucky in a few matches. Never liked it much

So the ideas:

1. Just relegate the bottom 4-5 from the current game, combine with the draft list and have the "A" and "B" league with promotions and relegations from next season/year/game.

2. Split into 2 leagues for the next game, US and Rest of the World.  Top "X" from one league and top "Y" from the other form the "A" league for the game after and the rest make up the "B" league.

3. Randomly split into 2 leagues and then follow #2's plan Top "X" from one league and top "Y" from the other form the "A" league for the game after and the rest make up the "B" league.

I think it depends on how many play

I still think we could house as many as 18 but maybe just have 4 wrestlers per team or something or maybe start taking 2 TNA but u can' t drop either.


The Relegation is a good idea on paper.... but i just wonder if people once relegated will lose interest and is it even fair?

Look at Hammy for instance, I can't remember a game where he wasn't top 5. Lets say out of the blue, half his team gets injured and he finishes next to last.. should he really get relegated to the B league for 1 bad performance out of 14?

I think if we do the relegation one, the tag game needs to be brought back so the people in the B league, still can win a major title.

To say, well we could just squeeze in 18, I see as preventing the inevitable, I mean I hope as this board continues to grow, more people will join, so we are eventually going to hit the point.

As for bringing back the Tag Game as well, that could work, heck with such a big board, why not?
