Solid Smackdown this week - one of the best i've seen in some time

...though Punk and Jeff Hardy making three seperate entrances seemed...overkill

They have a good feud going

"Great chemistry between Knox and Finlay...sorry Knox and Ziggler...the first time they have teamed together" Todd Grisham clearly forgetting the other month when they teamed up and Ziggler walked out leaving Knox on his own.  O0

Numerous correspondents have sent word that one of WWE's title holders was possibly injured at a Friday night house show.

According to the reports, WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool appeared to suffer a leg injury in her match with Eve. McCool took a bump to the outside of the ring and was unable to get to her feet. As medical personnel escorted the champion to the back, the match was ruled a no contest.

Though there have been no official or backstage reports about Michelle McCool's status, the submitted reports have so far given no indication that the injury was an illegitimate work. In any event, more details are undoubtedly forthcoming.

Surprised nobody has mentioned how good the Main Event was, really good title match, Morrison was made to look good to kicking out of the Swanton, Punk pretty much turned heel fully after, really enjoyed the beat down.  I actually thought Jeff was bleeding a bit and the cameras were avoiding it which left me thinking to show Punk's true heelness and the brutality of the beatdown, a good amount of blood would have helped matters.

How boring is Punk??

When exactly did he become Chris Jericho?

The whole 'i am an honest man...' routine - its the same damn speach

Chris Jericho wasnt exactly dazzling me - but he was doing it first!

Each to his own.

I'm loving the guy, much like the heel Bret Hart sticking true to himself and what he believes in rather than being an out and out heel.

If the fans want to cheer a drug using waste of space and boo a straight edge decent guy like him, too right he is going to get pissed off.

Great stuff, lovely finish to the match as well....and TLC @ Summerslam...Wahey!

Good to see the Ziggler push continue as well.  I'm thinking Ricky Ortiz could be soon for future endeavours after that 20 second loss and Slam Master J may be in trouble to after his "Conway Pop" of a match.

Really liked the Morrison vs. Kidd match, Morrison is Gold when he isn't talking.

"Fix him so I can break him again"  :D

Aye, spot on with that. But I'd like to see him eventually turn into a full blown heel like his Full Impact Pro Wrestling days. He suits the disrespectful pissed off heel so well.

Morrison is gonna be a huge star if he can master his promo skills and stop talking like a robot and develop a more 'loosy goosy' personality. The WWE have done a great job with him thus far, putting him in good competitive back and forth matches, then pushing the World Champion to the limit two weeks ago. Would love to see him capture the Intercontinental Title one more time though before he becomes a top level talent. Actually, a good Morrison/Ziggler fued over the title would be pretty awesome.

Anyone else think Matt Hardy's face looked unbelievably tangoed? Don't know what he was thinking walking out like a friggin' orange. Judging by the way he's talking on MySpace it's possible he was told he was winning the World Title soon. Maybe he's winning it at Summerslam somehow if Jeff leaves. Apparently due to his injury he claims he hasn't been able to get in proper shape in 2 years so hopefully he gets himself in good shape regardless of he's winning or not. Theres a spot open on Smackdown now for another main event talent so if he's winning the title it should be soon. This could be his last opportunity. He's cleared to train now and will be cleared to wrestle in a couple of weeks.

Agreed Fat Fake Tan boy didn't look good, I'd be shocked if a World Title was in his future.

Regarding his injury:

But here's a little taste of how tough and annoying the last 2 years of my life has been. For two years, I've been working with a slight abdominal tear, a genetic defect that I was actually born with. Even though we torture ourselves every night in that ring for each of your guy's entertainment.. But don't get me wrong, we love it and chose to do it. The tear hasn't been anything that has really over-affected me performance-wise.. Until.. My appendectomy. From when I returned in April 2008, my abdominal tear became gradually worse. I was having a U.S. Title run I was very proud of.. So I sucked it up! I became the ECW Champion, and was having one of the best runs of my career, and the abdominal injury really started bothering me.. So I sucked it up! I wanted to get it fixed before it got really bad.. BUT.. I had an issue with Jeff on TV which would ultimately lead us to wrestling one another at THE show of all shows, Wrestlemania. So I sucked it up and got through it! Basically, in a nutshell, my intestines were slowly tearing through my abdomen.. Which affected my training greatly, my in-ring work, and my physical appearance. My intestines were slowly swelling because they were all outta wack and protruding through my abdominal wall. But I sucked it up and gave everything I had. I haven't been able to do a sit-up in two years. And as I totally expected, The lil "wanna be cool guys" that feel like bad-asses behind a keyboard LOVED to make comments about my weight gain because I was being lazy. Little did they know, or yet probably even care, that I've stayed constantly frustrated that I was dealing with these serious complications. Honestly, I only care about the personal friends and family that I have, that know my true deal.. It's only their opinions I take serious and to heart. Anybody who writes about me, whether good or bad, but especially bad.. I couldn't care less. I just say thanks for keeping me in the news.
The night in Green Bay, when Kofi gave me a cross body from the top rope, my intestines exploded out through my abdominal wall.. And not just in one spot, but in two spots. I had to have it fixed, or face major health problems.. Problems that could have killed me. So as always, I do what's good for me, my career, friends, and loved ones. Hateful, ignorant comments made on the world wide web certainly doesn't bother me-but sometimes give me a good laugh.. And my world is a world those people will never experience.
I can actually get into the shape I wanna be in now.. Very excited about that.

BIG things are in the works."

Hey, it could happen. It's more likely than a Billy Gunn title win....thats right, I said it.  :P

Billy Gunn never had to resort to buying replica belts from WWEShop.com and posing with them for his Myspace fans, he was better than all that  :P

Hey its not my fault he doesn't know how to apply fake tan or keep in shape yet still carries around dreams of being a World Heavyweight Champion.

All fun poking aside, I'd be inclined to say, he really isn't World Champion material, solid midcarder yes, but no more.

He's fat for a reason. He couldn't help it.

As for the fake tan situation. I agree. He must be taking lessons from Wrestlemania Season Triple H.
